Shane founded Sureleaf in 2012, after a decade in consultancy & training and years before that building management systems software from the inside. He’s a Lead Auditor across core standards, lectures Level 9 Quality Management and Auditing, and sits on the NSAI TC7 (ISO 9001) and TC 28 (ISO 45001) committees.

John’s career spans medical device manufacturing, work on the European Space Agency’s Solar Orbiter project, and a string of MedTech and Life Sciences companies – with Sureleaf among his contracts going back nearly a decade before he joined us full-time. He’s a Lead Auditor across the same core standards, and brings an instructor’s energy shaped by three decades in regulated industry.
What we share is the same instinct: the standard is never the hard part. The hard part is getting a system to fit how people actually work, and that only happens by being in the room with them. We are active Lead Auditors across multiple standards, not just someone who knows the theory of how to audit. We are both active members of ISO Technical committees, meaning we are directly involved in the development of ISO standards.
